Are you addicted to ABCs hit TV series Lost? Thats great me too. But the biggest problem with watching the show is, if you ever miss an episode, you miss a lot. The whole world can change in the span of sixty minutes, and without a way to catch up, youll spend the rest of the season in a ball of confusion. Thats why I created a simple Lost episode guide for you with this, youll be able to get the 411 on what happened in each season and be ready when Season 6 premieres.

As a note, this Lost episode guide will not deal with each and every program rather, it will recap the important events of each season due to space considerations. For more detailed Lost episode guides, there are several fan sites on the Internet that transcribe and annotate each and every installment.

In the first season, we meet the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 as they crash down on a tropical island. However, this island isnt Club Med theres a bunch of bizarre things happening, from wandering polar bears to a gigantic, unseen monster that snatches them up out of nowhere. Throw in a group of hostile natives called The Others and youve got a great first season.
Season Two brings the conflict between the survivors and the Others into the forefront, and we meet a second group of survivors from the tail section of the plane. We also learn more about the Dharma Initiative, the scientific group that built many of the islands remaining signs of civilization.

Season Three intensified the war with the Others, with defections from both sides and a fair dose of mystery. Leader Benjamin Linus became one of the greatest villains in TV history with his calculating manipulation. At the end of the season, the castaways managed to make contact with a rescue vessel.

Season Four saw some of the survivors make it home known as the Oceanic Six, we saw their story in flash-forwards as the events of their escape from the island became known. The rescue vessel was sent by industrialist Charles Widmore to kill Ben Linus, and other casualties were unimportant. The conflict between Widmore and Ben would become one of the prime motivating forces of the series.

The most recent season, Season Five, saw time diverge, as some castaways were uprooted from their chronal moorings and send tripping through history. They wound up in 1973 and infiltrated the Dharma Initiative. But things fell apart when the Oceanic Six, under the direction of Ben Linus, returned to the island. We also learned more about the enigmatic Jacob, the man responsible for the islands operation.
