That Monarch butterfly might be analogous to the sun, a brilliant color with light showing through. The butterfly flutters, unaware of the child observing it. It's beautiful and full of magic. 2.Be interested. You may have seen a thousand butterflies in your lifetime. Don't slough off the experience with a Oh, that's nice remark. When talking to children, they always know if you're just passing time, or if you're really there with them.

3.You can learn much by talking to children. They have the most fascinating insights, ones you may recall from your own childhood and others which may never have occurred to you. 'Out of the mouths of babes...' You'd be surprised at what you can learn.

Sure, there are times when you need to be the grown up, but at playtime, it's time to be a kid too. The rewards are great, both for you and your child. Talking to children can keep you young at heart, seeing the world as they do, with the most common place events becoming new, exciting and mysterious. Being a child in your heart is a wonderful experience.
