Several years ago I was having an issue with my router. At the time I was using a Linksys (don't remember which model), which is basically the standard-issue router for neophytes, dilettantes and un-expert computer users everywhere.

One pleasant surprise was that the Belkin wireless networking device seemed to have a built-in port forwarding prompt, which means that you can run the PS2, the Wii, the PSP, your PDA and your laptop computer all at the same time without packet loss or signal degredation. After struggling with those same issues with my Linksys router... let's just say I'm more than happy with what I've got now.

Check EBay, check retailers, check wholesalers - you'll be able to find a deal at one place or another with a little bit of dilligene. You'll want to price compare various sites, and get reviews of each of the products. My purchase, as I mentioned, was several years ago, so I can't speak to the quality of the newest lines of Belkin wireless networking products. That's why user reviews and sites like Consumer Reports are so useful, especially when making an investment that you hope lasts for a long while.
